Take Charge Savings Program

Age requirements: 12 to 18 or up to High School graduation (must be eligible for membership). The program is designed to help teens develop a healthy savings habit and learn to manage their money wisely.

The minimum deposit required to open a Take Charge Account is $25.00. Take Charge members enjoy the same generous dividend rate as the Share Deposit (savings) Account. Check our Dividend Rates page for current rate information. A deposit of $500 or more qualifies the Take Charge Saver to open a certificate account which increases earnings.

A birthday drawing is held monthly. The winner may choose a variety of gifts from our Take Charge Prize Vault. Winners are notified by mail. Take Charge Savers also receive a birthday card each year.

Whenever a deposit of $1.00 or more is made into a Take Charge account, a ticket is placed into a monthly drawing. A $20.00 prize is deposited into the winner’s Take Charge account. All winners are notified by mail.

Take Chargers 16 years old or older may open up a checking and obtain a debit card (co-signer required until age 18). We also offer Prepaid/Reloadable Visa cards.

All Take Charge High School Seniors may apply for a Take Charge Scholarship. The amount and quantity of scholarships awarded is determined by the number of applicants. Review the qualifications for a Take Charge scholarship and download your application below.
