EnFact Notification calls to cardholders for fraud alerts are one measure in place to protect your account. Under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), you do have the right to opt out of receiving these alerts.
To opt out during the identity validation process, listen to the following prompts:
- The Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system will state, “Thank you. If you would prefer to not receive fraud alert calls like this in the future, press ‘pound.’ Otherwise, to verify your identity, please enter the five-digit mailing zip code associated with your card, now. To return to the previous menu, press 9.”
- If you press the pound key, the call will be transferred to the Call Center for handling.
- The call center representative will disengage the EnFact Alert service once your identity is verified. The representative will review the case with you, if you choose, or will close the case as Unconfirmed Fraud.
- The credit union staff will review daily reports and follow up on any cases of Unconfirmed Fraud with you, if necessary.
If you want alerts, but to a different phone number, please provide that to us as your preferred number. To receive alerts by email, notify our Card Services staff and verify that we have a valid email address for you.
