School is out for the SUMMER!! Well, almost…there are a few days left for some students; however, your financial education team wrapped up our last classes at local schools this week! This school year has been so fun, rewarding and incredibly busy.
If you have been following NDFCU on social media, you may have noticed that Molly Woodward, our Business Development Officer, has been assisting me with classroom visits and Eat, Learn and Prosper Seminars at local businesses. I cannot thank her enough for all her assistance! Her positive attitude, teamwork mentality, and energetic presentation style have helped our CU offer more financial education classes than ever before. And, her infectious humor and quick wit have kept me laughing and energized on the busiest of days. I truly love working with Molly; I’m so thankful she joined #TeamTeal! As Molly says, “credit union life is so awesome!” I agree, Molly.
Molly and I have met some excellent classroom teachers, students, business owners and employees this year. Thank you to everyone who has invited us into your classroom, boardroom or lunchroom! We have received so many touching thank you notes, emails, and handcrafted cards, which we proudly display in our offices.
Throughout the summer, we will be working on new classroom presentations and adding to our offerings for Eat, Learn and Prosper seminars at local businesses. If you would like to learn more about having a free financial education lunch at your business, click here. We would be glad to visit over the summer, too!
If you are a classroom teacher, feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org as it is never too early to book classroom sessions for the fall. And keep in mind, if you have ideas about classes we should offer, I would love to hear your suggestions!
Until next time…
