Hi Everyone and Happy Fall,
I am VERY excited to share some news with you! Over the last year, our commitment to financial education has led to assisting a record number of members with necessary budgeting and credit score sessions. (We also had a lot more demand for classroom presentations in our local schools, too!) This warms my heart because I’m passionate about financial education and having the ability to provide our members with the best practices, tips, and tricks available today…helping to positively impact their lives.
What you may not know, is that I have two roles at NDFCU. When I am not leading the charge with financial education, I am also training employees in a staff development role (that’s the behind the curtain stuff most people don’t see). NDFCU is a wonderful place to work as we are encouraged to learn as much as we can so that we may build a rewarding and fruitful career, but the more important aspect is making sure all employees are equipped with the knowledge and resources necessary to successfully serve you. Our members are the key to what we do at New Dimensions and we work hard to prepare every employee so that you receive the best service possible. With over 65 employees, training is occurring daily, and it takes a lot of organization to successfully implement, along with onboarding new employees. So, we sat down to design a plan that would give adequate attention to both financial education and staff development. After several thoughtful discussions with CEO, Ryan Poulin, it was decided that my time would best be spent by taking on the full-time duty of Director of Staff Development and we would hire a Financial Education Coordinator to continue to grow our financial education program. With that said, ladies and gentlemen, it is my pleasure to introduce and pass the Fin Ed torch to Carrielyn Reynolds! She has over 9 years of experience with helping people with budgeting and credit counseling and has hosted several educational seminars, as well. She is fun, high-energy, and has a passion for financial education and I know that she will do a great job in her new role! Beginning in November, you will begin to see new blogs and educational articles from her that will help you and your family reach your various financial goals. I will still oversee the financial education efforts, so you may see me pop up with an article or two of my own. 😊
Thank you for taking the time to read my blogs and articles over the last 2+ years and to those of you who carved time out of your busy schedules to send me a message or two as well. It has been an absolute pleasure to serve members and represent #TeamTeal in the community. I am certainly looking forward to my new position and challenging myself as I continue to learn and grow with NDFCU!
With all my gratitude…
