New Dimensions FCU is proud to announce that we not only met our 2019 goal of $35,000 in funds raised but exceeded it with a whopping $39,006.81. We began 2019 with a lofty goal but we were determined to make as big an impact on our community as possible. We know that it takes a community working together to achieve big goals and as an organization that supports Maine Children’s Cancer Program (MCCP), Special Olympics Maine, and MECUL’s Ending Hunger Campaign we believe that funding is imperative to each charity and the work that they do.
In 2019, we ramped up our fundraising efforts by planning even more events and fundraising opportunities so that we could reach our goal. We incorporated hashtag #TeamTeal into marketing and social media conversations as representation of our commitment to volunteerism and fundraising. We wanted to make a huge impact in the lives of people living in Maine but especially in the local area. Collectively we planned several soup days, a car show, bake sales, book sales, car washes, pallet nights, and so much more. When it was all said and done, we calculated the final totals and was astounded to find that we raised $18, 198.77 for MCCP, $10, 759.43 for Ending Hunger in Maine, and $10,048.61 for Special Olympics Maine. This is a total of $39,006.81 to help children with cancer, people who don’t get enough to eat, and Special Olympics with their important mission.
We are gearing up for 2020 with the same drive and dedication but would be remiss if we didn’t sincerely thank our members and the community for the support they have provided throughout the year.
