On a stunning Saturday, June 1, 2024, New Dimensions Federal Credit Union rolled out the red carpet for the 10th Annual Cruisin’ for A Cure Car Show at the Robert LaFleur Airport. The event brought together 168 car owners and automotive enthusiasts for a sun-soaked day of classic cars, community camaraderie, and incredible generosity.

From gleaming classics to sleek modern rides, the car show dazzled attendees with its impressive lineup of vehicles. The highlight of the day was the remarkable total of $21,221.49 raised for the Maine Children’s Cancer Program (MCCP), located in Scarborough, a division of the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital. This fantastic amount will help fund critical research and support for children battling cancer.

Excitement was in the air as David Weeks took home the People’s Choice Award for his stunning 1951 Convertible Mercury, and Mike Reynold’s 1969 Chevy Camaro RS won the Best of Show award, capturing hearts with its timeless appeal.

Later, on July 18th, we gathered for a special photo opportunity with Grace Jandro and Molly Herman from the Maine Children’s Cancer Program to proudly present them with the money we raised. Alongside them, New Dimensions’ Cruisin’ for A Cure Car Show Chairs can be seen in the check presentation photo above: Dani Farmer, Angela Hallee, David Alberico, Ryan Poulin, Sharon Storti, and Tammy Poissonnier.

The overwhelming success of this year’s event highlights the spirit of community and the collective effort to support a meaningful cause. A big thank you to everyone who participated, donated, and volunteered – together, we made a real difference!
