Winslow Branch
Winslow is a town in Kennebec County. Winslow is home to the historical Fort Halifax, which is a National Historic Landmark and the oldest blockhouse in the United States. Built-in the mid-18th century, Fort Halifax State Historic Site lies along the banks of the scenic Kennebec River and is reportedly the first structure of its kind in the colonies that were built in the blockhouse style. Winslow is noted for its rich history and scenic rural setting, and year-round recreational activities abound.
