Fall Meal Favorites on a Budget
Happy October! The weather is cooler, daylight is dwindling, and the leaves are beginning to change. I love the fall colors! I also love all the comfort food that comes with the cooler temperatures. By shopping the sale flyers at my local grocery store, planning meals for the week on a budget is easy. Check out some of my favorite fall recipes that feed a family of four for under $20.00.
Crockpot pork chops: Creamy pork chops served with mashed potatoes and green beans. This easy four-ingredient porkchop meal is so easy and delicious. Super Easy Crockpot Pork Chops (4 Ingredients + Max Flavor!) (favfamilyrecipes.com)
Shepherd’s Pie: Shepherd’s pie is one of those meals everyone in my house will eat! Repurposing the leftover mashed potatoes will eliminate waste and help save on your grocery bill. Shepherds Pie Recipe Easy Peasy | Four Generations One Roof
Spaghetti with meat sauce: Spaghetti is known to be an easy, budget-friendly meal. Try saving some of the fried-up beef from a previous meal (such as Shepherd’s Pie) and adding it to spaghetti sauce. Pair your spaghetti and meat sauce with garlic bread to complete your cost-efficient meal.
This cool weather makes me want to cook all those warm and delicious foods from childhood. Using the sale flyers at your local grocery store can help inspire ideas while staying within budget.
