New Dimensions FCU Contributes to Record-Breaking Campaign for Ending Hunger
New Dimensions Federal Credit Union is proud to share the results of the 2025 Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger, which raised an incredible $1,496,117 statewide. This total reflects both monetary contributions and the value of food and in-kind donations provided directly to hunger-relief organizations across Maine. Since the campaign began in 1990, more than $16.3 million has been raised to help fight hunger in local communities.
Thanks to the generosity of members, staff, and volunteers, New Dimensions FCU raised $21,760.82 in support of this year’s effort. Of that total, $6,500 was donated directly by the credit union during critical times to ensure individuals and families facing food insecurity had access to nutritious meals when they needed it most.
These funds have been recently distributed to local hunger-relief organizations right here in our community, including:
- Greater Waterville Food Bank
- Mid-Maine Homeless Shelter
- People Who Care Food Cupboard
- Sidney Food Pantry
- Skowhegan Community Cupboard
- Spectrum Generations/Muskie Center
- John Food Pantry
- Waterville Area Soup Kitchen
- Winslow Community Cupboard
In addition to fundraising efforts, New Dimensions FCU was honored with the Credit Union Volunteer Excellence Award for contributing the highest number of volunteer hours within its asset size. Staff recorded an outstanding 2,355.25 volunteer hours, reflecting a strong commitment to community service.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who supported this year’s campaign—whether through donations, participation in fundraisers, or volunteering time. This collective effort continues to make a meaningful impact in the communities we serve.
